Hannibal

This bloody horror series brings everyone’s favorite cannibalistic serial killer, Hannibal Lecter, to television. He’s played by Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen in this prequel series loosely based on Thomas Harris’ Lecter novels. Hugh Dancy co-stars as FBI profiler Will Graham, who teams with Lecter to solve horrific cases without realizing that his new partner is a murderer as well. The show has garnered rave reviews — may critics have called it one of the very best shows on television — but through its first two seasons, it’s struggled to find an audience. Nonetheless, NBC picked up ‘Hannibal’ for a third season, which is set to debut next summer.

  • Network: NBC
  • Air Time: Fridays, 10PM ET
  • Season 3 Premiere: Summer 2015

Unless you live in Utah, much of the fun of NBC's 'Hannibal' lies in identifying references and homages to both the classic film series and author Thomas Harris' Hannibal Lecter novels. That scavenger hunt will take a huge leap forward in this Thursday's all-new episode "Entrée," in which Will Graham pays a visit to an awfully familiar Baltimore state hospital!
