'Vikings' Season 3 Adds 'LOST' and 'The Tudors' Vet to Cast

We'd already heard the good news that History's period epic 'Vikings' had officially been picked up for a third season, but now real history buffs have yet another reason to celebrate. Joining the 'Vikings' in season 3 will be 'LOST' and 'The Strain' star Kevin Durand in a magical new role, as well as 'The Tudors' star Lothaire Bluteau as Emperor Charles of France, among others.

We haven't kept up with History's 'Vikings' season 2 as much as its predecessor, but are nonetheless excited to see that Ragnar Lothbrok and his brood will live to fight another day. History has officially picked up a 'Vikings' season 3 for 2015, but what can we expect from the epic period drama when it sets sail for a third time?

The History channel's first original series, 'Vikings,' certainly caught our attention last year, but at nine episodes, Ragnar and his brood came and went far too quickly. That all changes in February 2014, as History has officially set a premiere date for the 10 episodes of 'Vikings' season 2!

Okay, not that 'Hannibal.' Though History's epic miniseries 'The Bible' proved at times controversial, particularly during an incident in which its portrayal of Satan had a striking resemblance to US President Barack Obama, the conclusive miniseries has continued to break ratings records for the channel. Now, series producer Mark Burnett has revealed plans to potentially market a theatrical version, and a potential sequel series, so how much more of 'The Bible' can we expect?
