If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That seems to be the motto of the production team behind both John Wicks, as they’re bringing back their star, their director, and now their screenwriter for the third go-round. Derek Kolstad, who penned both John Wick and John Wick Chapter 2 is back on the team for John Wick 3.

Because John Wick is terrible at retiring (and because Chapter 2 left him in quite a sticky situation that whole worldwide bounty thing and all), director Chad Stahelski is already working on the script for a third movie, and he’s very excited about all the possibilities. Wick is not part of a franchise, so all the series really depends on is Keanu Reeves’ availability and the ability of the writers and director to come up with another idea.

John Wick fans have yet to take in the majesty of Keanu Reeves’ return to the role for Chapter 2, but it’s safe to say the eternally un-retiring hitman isn’t saying goodnight after one sequel. So it is, that franchise helmers Chad Stahelski and Derek Kolstad have an eye toward a John Wick TV series, potentially exploring the character’s early days.

There’s nothing quite as much fun as a perfectly conceived and executed supercut. Whether it’s a compilation of movie scenes where Nic Cage loses his mind or a movie dialogue version of one of Lionel Richie’s classic songs, a good supercut is the perfect piece of digital ephemera for movie lovers everywhere. It’s very easy to get caught up in all the Deadpool 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 craziness, but don’t let yourself forget one extremely important thing: John Wick 2 is coming. With the thoughtless murder of the cutest beagle puppy on the planet, a bunch of Russian mobsters awoke a slumbering giant: John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves, the world’s greatest and Keanuiest assassin. Wick, who’d retired from the hit man life to settle down with his beloved wife (who’s dead now too), destroys his tastefully decorated basement, retrieves a cache of weapons hidden under his floor, and swears revenge on the men who killed his adorable dog. That was the premise of John Wick, last year’s thoroughly satisfying action thriller from directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch.

Earlier this week, it was reported that ‘John Wick’ directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch are developing a sequel to our favorite action flick from 2014, which would see Keanu Reeves reprising his role as the brooding hero. Now it looks like a sequel might not be all we’re getting from the ‘John Wick’ universe, as Lionsgate has revealed tentative plans to make an entire franchise based on the film.

This list is not about quality. In fact, it will be only time you ever see ‘Corky Romano’ ranked above a Steven Soderbergh movie on any list. This list is about knee-jerk reactions to names. If you name your movie after your main character and only your main character, you are immediately assuming the name is compelling enough to command your attention. This is not about whether or not a movie is good; this is entirely about whether or not a simple character name can, by itself, get your butt in the theater.

‘John Wick’ was perhaps the most surprising movie of 2014. It’s a movie we didn't think much of before we saw it, but after we did, we couldn't stop talking about it. The world of John Wick is one that we wanted to revisit almost immediately after the credits rolled, and now that the film is on DVD and Blu-ray, we can do that. But, what about John Wick's return in a new adventure? Directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch confirmed that they're working on a ‘John Wick 2’ and that it will “awesome.”
