A new film from filmmaking brothers Joel and Ethan Coen is always highly-anticipated, but it turns out we're just going to have to wait a little longer for their latest effort. The star-studded 'Hail, Caesar!' which reunites the directors with George Clooney and Tilda Swinton, has been officially given a 2016 release date, and we have a feeling this one will be well-worth the wait.

The first trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson's highly anticipated 'Inherent Vice' has finally arrived online, and this is definitely not your average detective story. Based on Thomas Pynchon's 2009 novel of the same name, the film stars Joaquin Phoenix as the unorthodox detective Doc Sportello (yes, really), who gets mixed up in a convoluted and totally out-there crime tale.

Josh Brolin knows what's up. The current star of 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' makes no bones about where he got his start (and the feature that he might still be best known for): Richard Donner's kids cult classic, 'The Goonies.' Rumors of a 'Goonies' sequel have abounded for years -- the last we heard, it was definitely in the works -- but it doesn't matter when (or if) the film actually happens, because Brolin will turn up for the gig with no questions asked.

After his famous romp with Mark Wahlberg in 'Boogie Nights,' director Paul Thomas Anderson brings us back to the '70s with his upcoming film, 'Inherent Vice,' a highly anticipated project starring the likes of Josh Brolin and Joaquin Phoenix, and adapted from the Thomas Pynchon gonzo novel of the same name. With 'Inherent Vice' set to make its grand debut at this year's New York Film Festival, its first official look has emerged, toting Brolin's new haircut and tons and tons of pancakes.

When it was announced that Josh Brolin would be the actor behind the villainous "Mad Titan" Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you were hard-pressed to find anyone with a bad thing to say about it. You don't complain when an actor as good as Brolin takes on one of the most famous and powerful comic book supervillains of all time. In true Marvel Studios fashion, the actor has remained fairly quiet about his work on the character, but he recently spilled the first details about the part and his role in the Marvel movies.

We first met the cinematic version of Thanos in 2012 -- his face smiling at us during a mid-credits sequence of ‘The Avengers,’ there to let us know that this guy is the mastermind behind the whole operation. OK then! Eventually we learn that Thanos is trying to collect the Infinity Stones, because if he has those, he will become a god. Fair enough. Though, now, after ten movies in the Marvel cinematic universe – ten! – Thanos has a grand total of zero Infinity Stones. So far, Thanos is terrible at being a supervillain.

While Thanos won't pop up in 'Avengers 2,' according to Marvel's Kevin Feige, we will get to see him in 'Guardians of the Galaxy.' At Comic-Con, the Marvel Studios president and producer told us there will be a shot of him replicating that iconic image of the Mad Titan lounging on his throne, and now the first look image has leaked out.

Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' hits theaters this Friday, and it's packed with familiar faces (and voices), like Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and new favorite Karen Gillan. And while they're superhero superstars now, that wasn't always the case -- it may be hard to believe now, but there was a time when you didn't know their names.
