2013 feels like a particularly dreary year given that comedian Louis C.K.'s acclaimed FX dramedy 'Louie' won't return until next summer, but the promise of C.K.'s new stand-up special "Oh My God" more than makes up for a 'Louie'-less year. Another awards ceremony, another victory lap for Ben Affleck's 'Argo'! If it doesn't scoop up Best Picture at the Oscars next week, there are going to be a lot of very confused bookies. The latest accolade for the critically acclaimed crowd-pleaser comes courtesy of the Writer's Guild of America, who awarded screenwriter Chris Terrio the trophy for Best Adapted Screenplay.

A few months ago we were surprised and saddened to learn that acclaimed FX dramedy 'Louie' was to take a long hiatus while comedian Louis C.K. toured and developed new material, finally premiering its fourth season in 2014. New reports about FX's evolving structure however could mean that when 'Louie' returns in 2014, it may not return to FX at all, but rather a spin-off network! As intriguing as it was to see acclaimed comedian Louis C.K. take on 'SNL' hosting duties for the first time a few weeks back, fans of the comic's FX series 'Louie' still lament the fact that the show's fourth season had been pushed all the way back to 2014.  So, what better way to get our Louis C.K. TV fix than with an all-new HBO stand-up special in 2013?  Will it prove just as award-winning as his last show?

Though not every sketch had us rolling on the floor, last Saturday's 'SNL' turn with Louis C.K. hosting proved to be one of the better outings we've seen in weeks.  Among the numerous highlights of the episode, none got people talking so much as the comedians' spot-on parody of his own FX show 'Louie,' replacing the title character with Abraham Lincoln!  Not all of the funny and NSFW bits mad it to air however, so how would you like to view the unrated director's cut?

In what could conceivably be either the best, or worst idea in the show's recent history, 'Saturday Night Live' has announced its latest host to be none other than the unstoppable Louis C.K.,fresh off his two Emmy wins for the acclaimed FX dramedy 'Louie.' Hilarious in his own right but questionable when it comes to characters, the upcoming episode will certainly arrive with plenty of buzz, but when? And what musician will accompany the comedian?

Where last night we were distressed to learn that NBC had pulled the 'Community' season 4 premiere from October 19 to an unknown start date, now we've learned today that FX's critically beloved and Emmy-winning Louis C.K. dramedy 'Louie' will have its fourth season pushed all the way back to 2014.
