After seven years of waiting, no one knew if a sequel to '300' would do the business of its predecessor. And now we have a definitive answer: yes. '300: Rise of an Empire' effortlessly took the number one spot at the box office, proving that America still loves shirtless Greeks murdering each other in slow motion.
Mr. Peabody & Sherman
“I forbid you from fighting in the Trojan War!”
It's something any father would say to his son, provided that the pair regularly traveled through time. In the case of 'Mr. Peabody & Sherman,' Sherman, the adopted tyke just old enough to start attending school and form his own personality, suits up for battle after he has “ran away” from his father – a Nobel Prize-winning polymath and dog.
Mr. Peabody has 99 talents but keeping his "pet" out of trouble ain't one. Yeah, that was lame but fitting considering that the awkward dad of 'Modern Family,' Ty Burrell, voices the genius talking dog. DreamWorks released a new 'Mr. Peabody & Sherman' trailer, which chronicles the time travels of him and his human (voiced by Max Charles), as well as a clip showing off the canine's wide range of talents.
'Mr. Peabody & Sherman' grew to fame thanks to their adventures on 'Rocky and His Friends.' Now that the duo are getting an animated feature film, it's about time their benefactors (if you will) get their share of the limelight. DreamWorks Animation announced Monday that a new 'Rocky & Bullwinkle' short will be produced for release in 2014.
Fans of the original 'Mr. Peabody and Sherman' shorts from 'Rocky and His Friends' probably won't find much to like in this new trailer for the DreamWorks animated film. But, then again, they're probably a good 50 years older than the target audience for the new 'Mr. Peabody and Sherman' movie.
'Mr. Peabody & Sherman' are perhaps known for their small screen exploits on the 60s TV series 'Rocky and His Friends' but DreamWorks is about to introduce the time-traveling duo to a whole new audience with a big-screen adventure. Today, we get a first look at the CGI-animated film starring Ty Burrell and Stephen Colbert.
'The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show' was required viewing growing up as a kid and part of the reason it was so popular was because one of the segments was about a really smart dog and his time-traveling adventures with his owner. Now those adventures are coming to the big screen courtesy of Dreamworks Animation, and Stephen Colbert is a part of it.
