‘Robopocalypse’ Concept Art Shows Off Steven Spielberg’s Delayed Sci-Fi Feature

Back in 2012, Steven Spielberg was set to direct an adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson’s Robopocalypse. But a year later, Spielberg delayed the project and put it back in development, with no dedicated timeframe for getting the film made. The decisions of directors often impact their colleagues, especially when they're working in close proximity to similar material, so it makes sense to think that perhaps Guillermo del Toro's 'Pacific Rim' influenced Steven Spielberg's decision to place 'Robopocalypse' on indefinite hold. Anne Hathaway had been rumored to be joining Steven Spielberg's next film, 'Robopocalypse,' though there was never any formal word on her involvement. Well, today we get formal word from a most official source: Anne Hathaway, who confirms she will, in fact, star in 'Robopocalypse.'

We haven't heard much about Steven Spielberg's 'Robopocalypse' since it was announced that Chris Hemsworth was talking about joining the cast, but now it seems the film is adding more talent in front of and behind the camera. Anne Hathaway is supposedly circling the female lead, while Tom Rothman is in talks to produce the film.
