Lucky attendees of Comic-Con 2016 got to see the full blood-spattered Ash Vs. Evil Dead Season 2 premiere for themselves, but what of us at home? Stuck waiting for October, it seems, so check out an equally bloody new photo from the season, get ready for a major death, and a handsomely familiar returning foe.

The rich history of Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead informed a great deal of Starz sequel series Ash Vs. Evil Dead, though producers had earlier noted that rights issues prevented any formal reference to Ash’s medieval third adventure, Army of Darkness. Now, said legal red-tape appears to have been cut for Season 2, which itself will specifically reference the third film.

You’ve waited, and we’ve certainly written enough stories without official photos, but American Gods is finally here! Straight from Comic-Con 2016, the first trailer for Bryan Fuller’s Neil Gaiman adaptation has arrived, plus bonus Pushing Daisies reunion with Kristin Chenoweth!

Starz is certainly transitioning to a stronger foothold in premium cable, to shift its major releases to Sunday, and garner major recognition with the likes of Outlander, American Gods and more, but will now cast off one of its former anchors. Pirate drama Black Sails will officially come to an end after Season 4, the network confirms.

Bruce Campbell may not have earned the Emmy recognition we hoped for, but Ash Vs. Evil Dead has no less reason to celebrate. Starz and Bryan Fuller’s American Gods has gone far enough into production for photos and a first trailer to arrive next week, that we wouldn’t necessarily expect any more significant additions to the cast. Not so, apparently, as comedian Dane Cook has apparently snagged a role in the new series, set to bow in 2017. Yes, Dane Cook.

The cast of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods is an eclectic one, to say the least, while the first photos of Bryan Fuller’s Starz adaptation offered a taste of this wild, weird and colorful world.
