The triumvirate of Arrow, Flash and Legends of Tomorrow will have its most comic run yet next week, not least of which will see Stephen Amell joining the Legends as an elder, goateed and one-armed Oliver Queen of “Star City 2046.” See the burnt-out future for yourself in the first photos, along with a new mystery man!

The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow has had a rough go of living up to its potential thus far, but all eyes will turn to “Star City 2046” at the end of the month, introducing both a future Oliver Queen and DC’s Connor Hawke. Now, Smoak rises in a new photo from producer Marc Guggenheim, in what might be our first look at the burnt-out Arrow-verse’s future.

The CW knew what it was doing, to schedule three DC dramas in one week between The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, and February 23 will kick off the most comic-bonkers run yet. Check out new synopses for King Shark’s Flash return, Vixen’s live-action Arrow debut, and a future Oliver’s arrival on Legends of Tomorrow!

Legends of Tomorrow has already confirmed we’d visit a future Star City with Green Arrow successor Connor Hawke, as well that a unique version of Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen would show up, and the combined truth will delight fans. Not only will a future Oliver appear in Legends’ sixth episode, but Amell will sport both the famous comic goatee, and a major nod to Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns.

Midway through its fourth season, Arrow has admittedly lost a step here and there, never quite regaining the heights of its second season battle against Manu Bennett’s Slade Wilson. Stephen Amell surprisingly concurs, admitting at a recent convention that he hopes the character might return, as Arrow has been “missing something” since Season 2.

The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow will take their first official flight with tonight’s premiere, just a scant trip or two to 1975, but the DC drama will get much weirder with its comic canon in upcoming episodes. To wit, we now know for sure an upcoming will introduce Green Arrow legacy character Connor Hawke, and very likely the episode to do it.

Now that Arrow settled its “Blood Debts” by the 2016 premiere, the DC drama has plenty more stops in the battle against Damien Darhk. Soon enough, Megalyn Echikunwoke will bring her animated Vixen to live-action as well, and Stephen Amell has our first look at the transition.

It took a village to raise Legends of Tomorrow out of Arrow and The Flash, but after taking off in its January 21 premiere, don’t expect our DC Guardians to return anytime soon. Producers confirm that neither Arrow nor Flash will crossover with the Legends again this season, as well the likelihood of an expanded second season.

We’ve only a day to wait before Arrow resumes its fourth season unburdened by the Legends of Tomorrow, and if the new trailer is any indication, the DC drama is back on track. The CW has a history of pushing series past the point of its leads’ willingness to stay, but could Arrow be Arrow without Stephen Amell?
