Moments ago we saw news that The CW officially ordered 'Arrow' spinoff 'The Flash' to series, along with the similarly comic-friendly 'iZombie,' but the news isn't all good. The 'Supernatural' spinoff 'Bloodlines' is officially a pass, while the network also opted not to renew 'The Tomorrow People,' 'Star-Crossed' or enduring 'Sex and the City' prequel series 'The Carrie Diaries.'

And so it goes for fall 2013 that The CW has become the third major network to release its premiere schedule of the coming year. Just hours after airing two of its biggest finales in both 'Arrow' and 'Supernatural,' The CW has joined the Upfront ranks to introduce some major changes into its fall lineup. No longer paired together are 'Arrow' and 'Supernatural,' as the latter moves to Tuesdays to help launch 'Vampire Diaries' spinoff 'The Originals,' while 'Nikita's' confirmed final season will be held to 2014. Find out about the big CW schedule changes inside!
And the hits keep on coming! Shortly after announcing their multiple pickups, and long after many of their existing CW counterparts have been renewed, both 'Nikita' and 'The Carrie Diaries' have been picked up for additional seasons. And which might get truncated final season orders bolstered by online sales?
Far be it for them to let NBC steal all the thunder today with their whiplash-inducing list of renewals, pickups and cancellations, The CW has gotten in on the Upfront game once again by announcing five new pickups, in addition to their previously early-renewed series. Read on to learn who's going to start stockpiling shoes, or filling their quiver next season!
Despite the howls of protest from many 'Sex and the City' fans, the CW went ahead with its planned prequel of the popular series, 'The Carrie Diaries.' And while 'SATC' star Sarah Jessica Parker isn't involved in the new project, she did take time to reach out to AnnaSophia Robb, the actress playing a young Carrie Bradshaw on the show.
