The Hunger Games

'The Hunger Games' continued its domination of the 2012 MTV Movie Awards with yet another win - this time for Best On-Screen Transformation, won by Elizabeth Banks for her performance as Effie Trinket.

Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron (stars of 'Prometheus') presented the 2012 MTV Movie Award for Best Fight and after some comments that he should announce the award - because he's a guy and he's Irish - Charlize kicked his ass and presented the Best Fight award herself. And she presented it to the stars of 'The Hunger Games.'

Though he was up against some stiff competition - including Ryan Gosling and Daniel Radcliffe - 'Hunger Games' star Josh Hutcherson won Best Male Performance at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.

No one expected 'The Hunger Games' to do as well as it did. Sure, everyone was expecting a big hit, but no one was expecting the major blockbuster numbers the film pulled off when it was released back in March. One of the big casting decisions for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' (as it is now so artfully titled) is the role of Finnick Odair, a survivor of previous games who's called back in for one more fight. Supposedly the choice is down to three actors: Armie Hammer, Garrett Hedlund, and Taylor Kitsch.
