Just when we thought 'The Newsroom' season 2's promotional campaign had started to make sense with the release of the first official trailer, the Aaron Sorkin-scripted HBO drama has returned to the desert of its first teaser for an equally baffling approach to the new season premiering July 14. The full set of moody promotional posters has arrived, but the question remains: do they stand alone together? Or something?

It's been awhile since we've heard or seen any real previews from 'The Newsroom' season 2, even if Aaron Sorkin isn't the type to buy into the spoiler machine ahead of schedule. Most recently we learned that 'Mad Men' star Rosemarie DeWitt had to bow out of a planned season 2 role, and ended up replaced and re-shot with Marcia Gay Harden, so what's the latest?
