Following his impressive english-language debut with the dystopian sci-fi Snowpiercer, South Korean director Bong Joon-ho is set to reunite with star Tilda Swinton for his follow-up, the mysterious monster movie project Okja. And like Snowpiercer, Bong’s new multilingual film is looking to cast a slew of well-known, english-speaking stars, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Kelly Macdonald and Bill Nighy.

If you saw 2009’s I Am Love, the family drama from director Luca Guadagnino, you’re going to want to see A Bigger Splash, Guadagnino’s new movie with his I Am Love star, the chameleonic Tilda Swinton. This time Swinton plays a rock star on vacation with her partner (Rust and Bone’s Matthias Schoenaerts), when the arrival of an ex played by Ralph Fiennes (and his daughter, played by Fifty Shades of Grey’s Dakota Johnson) throws their whole trip into chaos.

It looks like Dr. Strange is going to have an old friend over for dinner. (Creepy slurping noise.)

You don’t hire Tilda Swinton if you’re hoping for a performance that’s even remotely ordinary. Tilda Swinton’s gotta’ Tilda Swinton, even when she’s appearing in something as carefully controlled as a Marvel Studios movie. So you probably won’t bat an eye when you learn that the Oscar-winning actress may end up playing Doctor Strange’s the Ancient One as a man.

We spoke to Tilda Swinton while she was doing press for Trainwreck (and we’ll have much more on that conversation later this week) who confirmed she is officially signed on and talked about what specifically about Doctor Strange has her “really, really, really excited” to be working in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For all those who’ve said that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a far too male dominated landscape...well, you’re right. But, it looks like Marvel is at least trying to work on that and has made one big, exciting step forward in the right direction. Oscar-winning actor Tilda Swinton is in talks to star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange as The Ancient One, a role originally written for a male.

341 movies were submitted, and nominating committees of “writers, directors, producers, cinematographers, editors, actors, critics, casting directors, film festival programmers, and other working film professionals” chose their favorites. (What, no caterers?) Those votes were tallied and the results are the nominees below, for the 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards, generally regarded as the most important and prestigious awards for independent film in the country.

A new film from filmmaking brothers Joel and Ethan Coen is always highly-anticipated, but it turns out we're just going to have to wait a little longer for their latest effort. The star-studded 'Hail, Caesar!' which reunites the directors with George Clooney and Tilda Swinton, has been officially given a 2016 release date, and we have a feeling this one will be well-worth the wait.
