Julia Louis-Dreyfus will return as our favorite put-upon Vice President Selina Meyer, along with the remainder of the staff from 'Veep' season 1, but who are the new faces in the cast? Now that 'Girls' season 2 has officially come to its close and 'Game of Thrones' season 3 is on the horizon, HBO has taken to promoting its other big spring offering; the second season of Julia Louis-Dreyfus-fronted political comedy 'Veep'! After some solid teasers, the pay-cable network has relased the first full trailer for its Emmy-winning comedy's second season, highlighting that the titular 'Veep' has gotten fired up, but still lacks the respect of...well, everyone. As much as we look forward to the season 3 premiere of 'Game of Thrones' on March 31, we're also anticipating the long-awaited return of Julia Louis-Dreyfus 'Veep,' premiering two weeks later on April 14. No longer paired with 'Girls,' the second season of 'Veep' will have a much more international flavor as Selina Meyer has a lot more on her plate, so what do we learn from the sleepy new poster?

While most people were busy watching that nameless award show last night, and HBO gave out its biggest trailer of the season this past Friday night, 'Veep' made a bold Vice Presidential declaration toward its second season with a brand-new trailer! It's a bit more than we got to see from the first teaser, but clearly Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Selina Meyer is still playing second fiddle to that pesky President. Let's face it: no one cuts trailers quite like HBO. In an age where we've seemingly forgotten that trailers and TV spots are advertisements because they're put together so artfully, HBO continues to be leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. Thankfully, their content tends to live up to the marketing. Their newly released Winter Preview promo (which you can watch below) reminds us why they're worth the subscription cost.

Earlier today we were excited to learn that NBC's buzz-worthy upcoming drama 'Hannibal' had cast a famous character from the novels, an intriguing departure after the number of of original castings in recent months.  Well, what better way to get things back on track than with another famous face?  'Veep' and two-time 'My Girl' star Anna Chlumsky will be next to meet the good Dr. Hannibal Lecter, but will she pique his interest or wind up on his table?

With its well-deserved buzz and Emmy win for star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, 'Veep' is bound to attract some major attention for its impending second season.  We've already heard at least one name joining in a recurring capacity, that of former 'Luck' and 'Transformers' star Kevin Dunn, but who's next?  Well, according to one source, character actor Gary Cole is about to join the Vice Presidential sitcom in a major recurring role, but as whom?  And what political figure might he be based on?
