'Texas Chainsaw 3D' has released its first clip and it's pretty much what you would imagine from a 'Texas Chainsaw' movie sequel. Two young, attractive 20-somethings are just trying to have sex when they're rudely interrupted by a maniac with a chainsaw who wants to kill them. This is the recipe for just about every horror movie...but does 'Texas Chainsaw 3D' look any good?

'Texas Chainsaw 3D' takes place in a movie universe where Parts 2-4 and the two reboots never existed and is considered a direct sequel to the 1974 original. Which seems like a smart move until you realize they're still slumming with the same old horror tropes. Why ditch the mythology if you're essentially just going to repeat it?

In this scene, the first clip released from the movie, Trey Songz (yes, that Trey Songz) and Tania Raymonde ('LOST') were just about to knock some boots in an abandoned barn (always a great idea) when they hear the familiar refrains of a chainsaw approaching. So they wisely call out, "Who is that? Hey?!" (Also, always a great idea.) As you might expect from a 'Texas Chainsaw' movie, they quickly run afoul of Leatherface.

'Texas Chainsaw 3D' hits theaters on January 4, 2013 and you can watch the first clip from the film below.
