It isn’t exactly the ‘High School Musical’ reunion Disney Channel fans have been craving, but the hot ‘High School’ co-stars Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale are two famous names lending their voices to a new animated feature produced by the fledgling CMI Entertainment.

The two join Big Time Rush singers Kendall Schmidt and Logan Henderson, as well as ‘Pretty Little Liars’ star Ashley Benson, in ‘The Great Migration,’ which THR says will follow a “mutated predator” whose existence is threatening the balance of a delicate ecosystem. The movie will be penned by Kevin G. Schmidt, whose credits includes ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ and its sequel. So yes, you are allowed to be a little bit afraid.

Both Tisdale and Hudgens are voice-over veterans. The former voices big sister Candace on the brilliantly funny ‘Phineas & Ferb,’ while the latter lent her voice to Seth Green’s ‘Robot Chicken.’

"What we hope to accomplish with ‘The Great Migration’ is the most efficient animated storytelling without sacrificing artistic vision or quality. If the right partners are economically and creatively on the same page, I believe projects can be brought from conception to reality quicker than ever before,” said CMI's Michael Cammarata.

Of course, this is TOTALLY different from Hudgens’ ‘Spring Breakers,’ which turned heads at the Toronto International Film Festival for its raunchier adult content. Let’s hope parents bringing their kids to theaters in search of the next Hudgens film don’t make a mistake at the box office!
