Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Gets a January Premiere
The world might be a very different place by the time we get to 2017, but in Celebrity Apprentice’s case at least, change is for the better. The new Arnold Schwarzenegger-led iteration of the NBC reality competition has an official January premiere, while producers attempt to lock down the ex-Governator’s catchphrase
Despite an early poster and a lavish guest roster, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that The New Celebrity Apprentice will formally premiere on January 2, 2017, roughly two years past the series’ last episode with Donald Trump. The new iteration also confirms its move to Los Angeles, likely Silicon Beach, for a more technology and innovation-based focus.
In addition to guests like Tyra Banks and Jessica Alba, the new Celebrity Apprentice will feature former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, Jessica Alba, entertainment attorney Patrick Knapp Schwarzenegger and business magnate Warren Buffett.
The competing cast will include SNL alum Jon Lovitz, Laila Ali, Brooke Burke-Charvet, Boy George, American Ninja Warrior host Matt Iseman, VH1 alum Carrie Keagan, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy vet Carson Kressley, ex-WNBA player Lisa Leslie, Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Real Housewives stars Kyle Richards and Porsha Williams, mixed martial artist Chael Sonnen, former NFL running backs Ricky Williams and Eric Dickerson, as well as Wilson Phillips singer Carnie Wilson.
As to the new catchphrase, despite a wealth of famous Schwarzenegger-isms to choose from, says NBC to The Wrap:
We’ve shot multiple endings to ‘The Celebrity Apprentice,’ and I can tell you that Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mark Burnett, and I don’t even know which catchphrase is going to be put into the end of the first show yet.
It’s a long wait, but will The New Celebrity Apprentice with Arnold Schwarzenegger prove worthy of a 2017 bow?
