We've known for a while now that The CW's forthcoming Green Arrow adaptation 'Arrow,' set to bow on Wednesday, October 10, will include a variety of adapted DC characters, some more well-known than others.  In particular, former 'X2: X-Men United' star will appear in the DC role of China White, albeit in a somewhat modified fashion than comic fans are used to.  What's the big change, and how wouldyou like to see her in action?

While The CW's upcoming superhero drama 'Arrow' doesn't come out of the quiver until October 10, it won't be until the show's second episode that its first major DC villain appears in the flesh, that of Kelly Hu's China White.  Comic fans will recognize China White from the 'Green Arrow: Year One' comics in which the white-haired beauty appeared as a heroin cartel leader, though "Arrow's version will be somewhat different.

Instead, Hu's China White will act as a hired assassin of criminal Martin Somers, whom Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell)'s love interest Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) has been set up to prosecute.  When Oliver encounters Katie at the courthouse while attempting to repeal his death certificate, he finds Martin Somers' ties to the Chinese triad irresistible, and comes to tangle with China White when she goes after Laurel.

China White is only one of many DC characters to appear over the course of 'Arrow's first season, which also includes The Royal Flush Gang, The Huntress, Deadshot, and Deathstroke the Terminator.  You can catch the first images of China White from 'Arrow' below (courtesy of Zap2It), and let us know what you think in the comments!
