Where last week's 'Arrow' season 2 installment, "Broken Dolls," dropped a brick-ton of DC references and characters, this week's all-new "Crucible" will reach some equally valuable DC milestones as Oliver teams up with "The Canary" (Caity Loitz) for the first time. The first sneak peek from the landmark episode has arrived, but will Oliver be able to take down Sebastian Blood without the aid of his mask?

True to the series' mythology, the first sneak peek of 'Arrow''s "Crucible" sees Oliver in debate with upstart Glades alderman Sebastian Blood, debating the different kinds of survivors that emerge through a major crisis. Both parties will have to contend with a mysterious and violent "Mayor" that arises in the Glades to seize power for himself, making the debate all the more relevant.

From The CW's press description of ‘Arrow”s “Crucible”

OLIVER MEETS THE CANARY — Oliver (Stephen Amell) discovers a man who goes by the name “The Mayor” (guest star Cle Bennett) is bringing illegal guns in to The Glades, so Oliver sponsors a “Cash for Guns” event to help clean up the city. Unfortunately, The Mayor crashes the event with his gang and seriously injures Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus).

The Canary (Caity Lotz) is furious when she learns her friend is in the hospital and sets out for revenge. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) stuns Oliver with a bit of information about the Canary, Donner (guest star Dylan Bruce) asks Laurel (Katie Cassidy) to dinner, and Diggle (David Ramsey) reconnects with an old friend.
