Well, that was certainly a quick turnaround. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice just hit theaters over the weekend, but we already know when you’ll be able to purchase the three-hour Ultimate Edition on Blu-ray. Zack Snyder describes the R-rated, extended version as his “director’s cut,” and in addition to that version, fans with a little extra cash will be able to purchase an upgraded collector’s edition that comes with a statuette.

Update: Warner Bros. has reached out to confirm that these release dates are incorrect. Original story continues below...

If you’re a fan of Batman v Superman and eager to revisit Snyder’s epic superhero showdown in the comfort of your home, then mark your calendars for July 17 — that’s when Amazon is releasing the R-rated Ultimate Edition (via CBM), featuring about 30 minutes of additional footage. The site doesn’t yet offer a detailed list of bonus features, but Snyder has said that the extended cut features a few characters cut from the film, including Jena Malone (reportedly playing Barbara Gordon).

The Ultimate Edition is currently available to pre-order for $35.99 — and at that price, there should be a wealth of bonus content.

Speaking of price, Amazon has also revealed a July 27 date for a special collector’s edition, which comes with either a Dark Knight or Man of Steel statuette. This set will run you $129.99 and isn’t yet available to pre-order. That’s a steep price, but even crazier is the idea that some fan(s) out there will shell out to own two of these box sets just to have both superhero statuettes:
