As the summer movie season blasts into focus with this Friday's release of 'Iron Man 3,' now is a good time to take a look back at the films released during this year's colder months and evaluate them. Which movie has made the biggest impression so far in 2013?

At this point, only four movies have topped the $100 million domestic mark: 'Oz The Great and Powerful,' 'The Croods,' 'Identity Thief' and 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation'; of those, you can say only 'Identity Thief' was the real shocker.

There were some other nice surprises too: films like 'Olympus Has Fallen,' '42' and 'Warm Bodies' all acquitted themselves very well, surpassing expectations at the box office and generating plenty of buzz among moviegoers. Horror also made an impression thanks to 'Mama' and 'Evil Dead,' while the indie movie scene scored with talked-about mini-hits 'Spring Breakers' and 'The Place Beyond the Pines.'

Of course, there have been dozens of movies released so far this year, and it would be impossible to list them all, but here are some of the more notable ones. If there's a movie we've ignored, weigh in and make us see the errors of our ways!
