🚨🚨🚨Legacyquel Alert! Legacyquel alert! 🚨🚨🚨

The third Bill & Ted movie, Bill & Ted Face the Music is finally happening, and in addition to bringing back Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in their signature roles, Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted “Theodore” Logan, the film will also introduce us to the next generation of Bills and Teds. Both men now have daughters in Face the Music and, hilariously, each dude named their daughter after their other best friend. So Ted has a daughter named Billie (Brigette Lundy-Paine) and Bill has a daughter named Thea (Samara Weaving). That’s them above; Lundy-Paine is on the left and Weaving is on the right.

Here’s a statement on the casting from producer Scott Kroopf:

When we saw Samara and Brigette together, it was like deja vu. It was exactly the way we felt when we first saw Keanu and Alex. We are so thrilled to have this funny and unique pair join the Bill and Ted team!

Here’s the new film’s official synopsis:

Following 1989's “Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure” and 1991's “Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey,” the stakes are higher than ever for William "Bill" S. Preston Esq. (Winter) and Theodore "Ted" Logan (Reeves).  Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe.  Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.

Bill & Ted Face the Music opens in theaters on August 21, 2020.
