Sometimes people just can't take a joke, like fading star Courtney Love. The singer / actress, better known for her relationship with the late Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain, threw a hissy fit over one of the most lovable groups in the world: The Muppets. Love complained to TMZ about their latest film 'The Muppets' stating that their cutesy rendition of Cobain's grungy song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" didn't only defile the song but "raped" the memory of the late singer. Say what?

Where has Courtney Love been? 'The Muppets' came out in November of 2011 and the fact that she's complaining about this now is a little strange.

If she wants to complain to somebody about defiling the Nirvana name in 'The Muppets' then she should talk to Dave Grohl. He played a cameo where he was part of the run-down Reno band called The Moopets. It's hard not to miss him, he is after all the only human player in that band. Since she's already trailing into weird thought process land then why doesn't she bring this up while she's at it.

On top of that, Love and her daughter Frances Bean, are still getting some financial love from Nirvana's songs whenever they're played or used in a movie such as 'The Muppets'. So if she got slight pay from the film just for that one song it's kind of funny that she complains about it. Then again, she might just be craving another second in the spotlight. Well, Miss Love, here you go.

You can see 'The Muppets', along with their own rendition of "Smells Like Teen Spirit," when it comes out on Blu-ray and DVD this March 20th.
