'Doctor Who' has always managed to attract some major UK star-power, and 2012 looks to be no different as filming ramps up on the shows seventh series, and the epic 50-year anniversary approaches.  So while actress Jenna-Louise Coleman settles into her role as The Doctor's new companion, what famous movie-star might be hopping in the TARDIS along with them?

According to recent photos from the Wales set filming series seven of 'Doctor Who,' the Doctor is getting ready to take another trip to the stars as UK actor Dougray Scott looks to make an appearance on the series.  While most publications are calling Scott's appearance a "cameo," it remains to be seen what kind of role the actor will take, his clothing seeming to indicate the Victorian era recently seen filming.

Best known to American audiences for his role opposite Tom Cruise in 'Mission Impossible 2,' as well as the more recent 'My Week with Marilyn,' Scott was also set to play Wolverine of the 'X-Men' films until scheduling conflicts placed Hugh Jackman in the role instead.

Filming continues on series 7 of 'Doctor Who' with Jenna-Louise Coleman now firmly established as The Doctor (Matt Smith)'s new companion, after the yet-to-be-revealed departure of former stars Arthur Darvill and Karen Gillan.  Recent set reports indicated that her character bears the name "Clara," and will be introduced during the 2012 Christmas special.

Presumably, Dougray Scott's appearance will occur in the series seventh episode, to air in 2013.  Scott will also be seen in the 2013 debut of Eli Roth's original Netflix series 'Hemlock Grove.'
