It’s been a few years since we had a new film from Edgar Wright, but we’re about to see a whole lot more from the director. In addition to filming his upcoming action film Baby Driver and developing Fortunately, the Milk with Johnny Depp, Wright has set his sights on directing his first animated feature. Tis the season to be thankful, and we’re definitely thankful for this.

Deadline reports that Wright has signed on to direct an untitled animated film “centered on the concept of shadows,” which he will co-write with David Williams for DreamWorks Animation. No other details of the plot or concept were given, though the report notes that this is not a reworking of Me and My Shadow, a long-developing project that’s been placed on hold.

Wright is currently in production on Baby Driver, starring Ansel Elgort as a professional driver who curates his own personal soundtrack to enhance his skills, and soon finds himself mixed up with a crime boss when a job goes awry. The film co-stars Jamie Foxx, Lily James, Kevin Spacey and Jon Hamm, and is scheduled to hit theaters in 2017.

It was recently revealed that Wright is also working on a film adaptation of the Neil Gaiman story Fortunately, the Milk, a live-action and animation hybrid that Johnny Depp will star in and produce.
