The cat is officially out of the bag now that FOX's 'Gotham' has at long last premiered its Bat-prequel drama, though the pilot only had so much time to spend away from a young Jim Gordon. And while Camren Bicondova's young Catwoman made her slinky presence known without a word, get ready for an up-close look at "Selina Kyle" and our erstwhile Penguin with the first clips from episode 2!

While it remains to be seen how realistically 'Gotham' can keep a young Catwoman in play between Ben McKenzie's James Gordon and David Mazouz's Bruce Wayne, our first clip from "Selina Kyle" sees the young runaway on a bus to juvenile hall, displaying some catlike instincts on a fellow passenger. Elsewhere, the second clip sees Robin Taylor's Oswald Cobblepot freshly waddling from his riverside plunge, making friends with two passing bros. If you though killing for a sandwich was over the top, just you wait!

Here's how FOX describes next Monday's "Selina Kyle:"

GORDON AND BULLOCK INVESTIGATE A CHILD TRAFFICKING RING ON AN ALL-NEW “GOTHAM” MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, ON FOX

Detectives Gordon and Bullock investigate a child trafficking ring preying on Gotham’s street kids, including Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova). Meanwhile, Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) resurfaces in the countryside and begins to make his way back to GOTHAM, leaving victims in his wake.

Guest Cast: Carol Kane as Gertrud Kapelput, Frank Whaley as Doug, Lili Taylor as Patti, Richard Kind as Mayor Aubrey James, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean, Kyle Massey as Macky.

We're still a bit on the fence as to what tone 'Gotham' seems to want to strike, but what do you think? Did the series premiere hook you enough for another installment? Can 'Gotham' really work without its most famous character? Get a closer look at our young Catwoman and Penguin in the clips above and below, and give us your take on FOX's 'Gotham' in the comments!
