‘Hannibal’ Faces ‘The Wrath of the Lamb’ in Season 3 (Series?) Finale Photos

The recent casting of Hannibal star Hugh Dancy in a new Hulu drama put yet another nail in the coffin of Bryan Fuller’s magnum opus, though we still have at least two more installments before the Red Dragon arc comes to an end. See for yourself, as Dr. Lecter finally get his iconic mask in the first photos of August 22 (series?) finale “The Wrath of the Lamb!”

The threat of Francis Dolarhyde has only been growing over the last few weeks, sure to get worse by this upcoming Saturday (at least for American viewers)’s “And the Beast From the Sea,” but there appear to be enough survivors by the time of the finale. Hannibal looks to be going out for a stroll (at last getting his own mask), while Jack, Will and Alana conspire to finally take down the Tooth Fairy killer.

So reads the official synopsis for Hannibal’s Season 3 finale:

“THE WRATH OF THE LAMB”

WILL GRAHAM MANEUVERS HANNIBAL LECTER AND FRANCIS DOLARHYDE INTO POSITION FOR THEIR FINAL SHOWDOWN- RICHARD ARMITAGE, RUTINA WESLEY, RAUL ESPARZA, NINA ARIANDA AND KATHARINE ISABELLE GUEST STAR

In a desperate bid to slay Francis Dolarhyde (guest star Richard Armitage), Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) engineers a cunning ploy utilizing Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen). Upon learning of his plan, Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson) voices concerns that Will’s actions may not only put his life in peril, but the lives of those around him.

As the end draws near, Will remains unflinching in his game with Hannibal-even when it means coming face-to-face with his own darkest fears. Laurence Fishburne, Aaron Abrams and Scott Thompson also star.

And while the future of Hannibal itself remains in question, creator Bryan Fuller has at least assured fans that the Red Dragon story of Francis Dolarhyde will have a conclusive end.
