James Gunn is going to be busy for quite a while with Guardians of the Galaxy 2, meaning it will still be some time before we see Gunn direct a non-Marvel project. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t still have some other ideas kicking around, though, like The Belco Experiment, a screenplay Gunn wrote himself. And since Gunn doesn’t have time to direct it, he’s hired someone else to do it instead.

According to an announcement on Gunn’s Facebook page, Wolf Creek director Greg Mclean will helm the horror project based on the script by Gunn, who will also produce the film. Production starts this summer in Columbia for The Belco Experiment, which centers on the employees of an American company in South America, who find themselves mysteriously trapped. With no other way to get out, they are forced to turn on one another and kill their co-workers.

Here’s Gunn’s original announcement:

I’m incredibly excited to announce that we’re commencing production on a new film, The Belco Experiment, from my own…

Mclean directed the horror films Wolf Creek and its sequel, and is producing a Wolf Creek television series, for which he’ll direct the pilot episode. He recently completed production on supernatural thriller 6 Miranda Drive, starring Kevin Bacon.

Gunn is set to write, direct and produce Guardians of the Galaxy 2, which hits theaters on May 5, 2017.
