When I watched the Comic-Con panel for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, I thought to myself, “Man, Jesse Eisenberg does not look happy to be here.”

That was the understatement of the millennium.

In an interview with Associated Press on Monday, Eisenberg described his recent Comic-Con experience. He, uh, he did not like it. How much did he not like it? This much:

It is like being screamed at by thousands of people. I don’t know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can’t think of anything that’s equivalent.

Hey, I was at Comic-Con this year. Was it my favorite weekend of 2015? Definitely not. Comic-Con is hot. It is stinky. It is crowded. It is stinky. It is frustrating. (Did I mention it’s stinky? It’s stinky.)

But genocide? That’s a bit much. Generally the victims of genocide are not paid millions of dollars to participate in mass killings. But, hey, I’m not backstage at Hall H. Maybe horrible things go on back there. Or maybe he’s just going super-Method on his portrayal of Lex Luthor, and casting himself as a real-life super-villain in the eyes of the millions of con-goers who plan to see Batman v Superman. If he wanted to be hated by fanboys, there are few more effective ways to do it that comparing their favorite time of year to the sadistic slaughter of large amounts of people.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens on March 25, 2016. You can watch Jesse Eisenberg’s hellish torment during the Batman v Superman Comic-Con panel below. See if you can pinpoint the exact moment when he loses the will to live.
