The inherent secrecy of The Last Man on Earth gave its first season a few ups and downs, though those directions look increasingly literal by the Will Forte-starring, Lord and Miller-produced comedy’s first Season 2 poster. Carol and Phil (and all his sporting good friends) hit the road in our first look at Season 2, but what might it mean for the rest of the cast?

TVLine scored the first official poster for The Last Man on Earth Season 2, which sees Phil regrowing his infamous beard as he and Carol (Kristen Schaal) leave the cul-de-sac behind to set out on the road, Phil having been evicted by his fellow survivors. Of course, there’s no telling how Last Man Season 2 intends to keep its star-studded cast in the mix, whether Mad Men alum January Jones, Mary Steenburgen, or even - Spoiler Alert! - Phil’s space-stationed brother Jason Sudeikis.

Elsewhere of The Last Man on Earth Season 2, the new run will debut on September 27, spanning somewhere between 13 and 22 episodes, while the network has also considered breaking up the second season to air both in the fall and midseason 2016. Additionally, The Office and The Interview alum Dan Sterling will serve as executive producer and showrunner, mostly taking over for the already-burdened Forte, Lord and Miller.

You can check out The Last Man on Earth continuing not to be the last man on Earth by the above poster, and stay tuned for more from the Season 2 premiere this September.
