At E3, Microsoft announced Xbox Live Gold members would be getting the added incentive of two free games per month for the foreseeable future. While we knew what games were first on the list, we didn't know when we'd be getting them.

According to OXM U.K., Microsoft will be delivering new free games to Xbox Live Gold members on the 1st and 16th of every month. The deal has technically already started with Fable 3 being free right now, but really kicks in during July, when Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3 are added to the list.

The games will only be available for a limited time, but once you download them, they're yours forever. "As our way of saying thanks, we're giving all active Gold members two bonus Xbox 360 games each month for the rest of the year," Microsoft said in a statement. "Each specially selected, fan-favorite game will be available to download only for a limited time, so grab them before they're gone and keep them no matter what."

Millions of people already have Xbox Live Gold subscriptions, but the new addition of free games could entice even more people to see value in the service beyond multiplayer games and video apps.
