Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, AJ Lee and all kinds of famous faces from the gridiron unite in an epic mini-movie filmed for Madden NFL 16.

Last year, Kevin Hart (Ride Along) and Dave Franco (21 Jump Street) duked it out in an over-the-top film used to hype up the release of Madden NFL 15. Now, Franco returns and he's partnering up with Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad) for Madden: The Movie, which is celebrating next week's launch of Madden NFL 16. The video starts off with McLovin and Franco playing Madden 16 in a factory, wearing ensembles straight out of an early '80s action flick — we're talking fake mustaches, biker gloves, headbands and big hair. Everything was all fun and games until the phone started ringing.

Franco's girlfriend (played by former WWE wrestler AJ Lee) has been kidnapped, and the boys are going to need some help if they want to beat this nefarious villain at Madden 16 and get the girl back. Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan all arrive to help the boys get the job done. There are explosions, dance sequences, romance, dinosaurs, shootouts, father-son moments, betrayals and more. I just hope this much attention (and money) went into making Madden NFL 16 stand out from the other games of the series.

Madden NFL 16 will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Aug. 25.
