‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ Reveals Inspiring Teaser and Striking New Poster

Katniss Everdeen is a superhero in her own right — a humble, brave young woman who unwittingly becomes a fearless leader and a symbol of rebellion against an elitist government. And in the new teaser for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, Katniss looks the part of a legit superhero. She even has a cape!

The new teaser is titled “Stand With the Mockingjay” and features Katniss atop a stone monument built to resemble the Mockingjay hand signal. Even more inspiring is the new poster, below, which features Katniss in a vivid red version of her costume, which contrasts starkly with the white of the throne upon which she sits. It’s like Hunger Games of Thrones, but when you play with Katniss you always die.

Lionsgate has also released a new motion poster ahead of their appearance at Comic-Con this week, where we’ll hopefully see new footage and learn more about the final installment in the hit franchise.

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her.  The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 hits theaters on November 20.
