Every bleeding day brings us closer to the April 4 premiere of NBC's mysterious 'Hannibal,' exploring the earlier days of the partnership between the iconic 'Silence of the Lambs' villain Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and his young FBI profiler partner Will Graham (Hugh Dancy), but thus far NBC has been rather tight-lipped about the new series. The international trailer gave us a pretty good look, but in some cases, a more subtle taste is apropos, as with NBC's latest gory, if brief, teaser. Get a fresh look at 'Hannibal' inside!

Series helmer Bryan Fuller and NBC have continued to tease us with their previews of the April 4-premiering 'Hannibal, and by the look and duration of the latest preview, that doesn't look to change very much. Still, the brief snippet's dark humor still feels on the nose as far as what we'd expect a 'Hannibal' tale to involve.

In addition to Mikkelsen and Dancy, ‘Hannibal’ boasts appearances from ‘Dead Like Me’s’ Ellen Muth, Lance Henriksen and ‘The X-Files’ star Gillian Anderson, Laurence Fishburne and spouse Gina Torres playing Jack Crawford and his wife, ‘Veep‘ star Anna Chlumsky, comedian Eddie Izzard, ‘SNL‘ alum Molly Shannon, ‘Pushing Daisies’ vet Ellen Greene, ‘Wonderfalls’ star Chelan Simmons, Lara Jean Chorostecki as a female interpretation of ‘Red Dragon’ character Freddy Lounds, and Raul Esparza as Dr. Frederick Chilton.

Take a look at the handsy new teaser for NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ below, and tell us in the comments if you’ll tune in for the April 4 premiere!
