We weren’t particularly surprised to learn that NBC’s office comedy take on the DC universe Powerless would scrape a few bottom-barrels for its costumed heroes and villains, and now they’ve already begun hitting the streets. A new set photo reveals our first look at a live-action “Crimson Fox,” which looks … well, orange.

YVRShoots obtained the first photos from the Vancouver set, which feature an as-yet-unidentified actress suited up as DC’s Crimson Fox, and catching what appears to be a stand-in for some sort of heavy object. The character has been said to feature into a train battle during the pilot script, while the comic iteration is better known for superhuman agility (and male-enticing pheromones, but eww) than super-strength.

The single-camera series is described as an Office-type comedy without any actual superheroes, set at “one of the worst insurance companies in America — with the twist being that it also takes place in the universe of DC Comics. The show is about the reality of working life for a normal, powerless person in a world of superheroes and villains.”

Firefly favorite Alan Tudyk will play Del, Emily (Vanessa Hudgens)’s superior, as well as the company owner’s son and “a power-mad disastrous dictator of a boss,” while Community alum Danny Pudi will play Teddy, Emily’s best work friend, trusted confidante and office prankster. Christina Kirk will play Jackie, superhero fan and assistant to Tudyk’s Del, buckling under the pressure.

A to Z alum Ben Queen will shepherd the series, executive producing with pilot director Michael Patrick Jann. Set photos are often a bit rough, but does the costume look on-par with other live-action DC TV shows?
