Get a Deeper Look at ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ in Brand New Photos

The Star Wars promo is far far from over.

In Entertainment Weekly‘s special double issue dedicated to The Force Awakens, we not only got a new set photos and character covers, but over 20 brand new stills, details and cast interviews from the upcoming film. So what do they reveal?

There’s a better look at Kylo Ren’s command shuttle and Rey’s Speeder. A new photo with John Boyega‘s Finn and Oscar Isaac‘s Poe Dameron reveals that the two met when Finn was still a stormtrooper, but this photo raises some other speculations – why is Poe wearing the same brown leather jacket as Finn from the previous photo? Did Poe help Finn escape from the First Order, or does Finn help the X-wing pilot escape from the clutches of Kylo Ren (he is bloody in the photo, after all)? Hmm.

We also have some more intel on Daisy Ridley‘s Rey. We know that she’s present when Kylo Ren battles the former stormtrooper in a snowy field and gets to see Adam Driver’s actual face, as his helmet is off. Ridley has also heard your theories that her staff might be Darth Plagueis’ lightsaber, but she just shot that possibility down. “It’s just a staff,” she told the magazine. “She uses it to defend herself. That’s really as far as it goes, unfortunately.”

The photos also give a closer look at Bobbajo, BB-8, stormtroopers  and the Millennium Falcon the midst of battle, and Carrie Fisher’s Leia. Check them out below.
