NYCC 2012: ‘Star Wars’ Reference or Italian Dish? Watch Cosplayers Fail Miserably!

Aside from all the movie and TV panels at New York Comic-Con 2012, we were there for all the cosplayer action. Some of the standouts were the Red Pyramid, 'Prometheus' Engineer, the plethora of Captain America and Lokis, and, of course, all the hot babes in costume. So, with all this geek action going on, obviously the logical thing to do was play a much-needed game of "'Star Wars' vs. Italian Dish."

You think you can tell the difference between a 'Star Wars' reference and an Italian dish? Well, trust me, it's not as simple as it sounds. I tagged along with TheFW team and comedian Kevin Maher (VH1, AMC) to help rally up some cosplayers and quiz them on their 'Star Wars' knowledge.

The contestants were given a word and they had to figure out whether it belonged to something from the Jedi-filled universe or something one would find in an Italian restaurant. You'd be surprised at how many people failed. But for the ones that achieved greatness, they got -- drum roll, please -- Jolly Ranchers! Hey, being at NYCC takes a lot out of you and it's important to keep your blood sugar up.
