Now that the proverbial cat (possibly even the literal, we don't watch the show) is out of the bag for residents of 'Once Upon A Time's Storybrooke, it's open season for existing characters as the show moves into its second season.  We already learned that we'd be seeing a lot more "Red" for season 2, so who's the next 'Once Upon A Time' star to be be upped to series regular for the fall?

TVLine reports that former 'LOST' actress Emilie de Ravin has been promoted to a series regular position for the upcoming second season of ABC's 'Once Upon A Time.'  Previously, de Ravin had appeared in three episodes of the show's freshman season as "Belle," the 'Once Upon A Time' incarnation of Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' princess.

'Once Upon A Time's first season finale had previously allowed for the Belle character to develop an expanded role, newly freed from Storybrooke's castle and reunited with one-time love Rumpelstiltskin, making him aware of Regina/the Evil Queen’s duplicitous act in the process.  However, de Ravin had been cast in ABC pilot 'Americana' which ultimately never got picked up and freed the former 'LOST' actress up for the part.

To date, de Ravin joins fellow fairytale character Red (Meghan Ory) in being upped to series regular for the second season of 'Once Upon A Time,' which was a breakout hit for the network in its Sunday timeslot.

What say you?  Are you excited to have a bit more Belle at the ball this fall on 'Once Upon A Time?"  What are you expecting from the show's second season?  Sound off in the comments!
