The first clip from 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' starring Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, and Ezra Miller has hit the web and it features quite the charming little toast for all you social outcasts and misfits out there.

In 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower,' Logan Lerman stars as Charlie, an aspiring writer who transfers to a new high school. Feeling alone and outcast, Charlie befriends Sam (Watson) and Patrick (Miller), who lovingly embrace him as one of their own. Charlie uses his many wonderful and charming experiences with the pair as fodder for his novel within the film.

'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' is based on the novel by Stephen Chbosky who, in a delightful and rare instance in Hollywood, actually adapted and directed the film himself. It's tough to say whether that's the best or worst idea, given we haven't seen the finished product as of yet, but between the initial trailer and this clip, we're quite taken with the concept.

Published by MTV, who also produced the film, 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' is a widely beloved coming of age novel about social outcasts finding their place in the world.

In the clip below, Sam and Patrick welcome Charlie into their "island of misfit toys" (a line that's a bit cheesy, but we'll look the other way) and raise a toast to their new companion. 'Perks' hits theaters in limited release on September 14.
