As one of the most anticipated next-gen titles not launching with the Xbox One, we were all waiting for word on when Titanfall would hit shelves. Thankfully, we now know the wait won't be long.

Titanfall is due to arrive on March 11, 2014 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Developed by Respawn Entertainment, which consists of former members of the Infinity Ward development team behind the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trilogy, the Microsoft exclusive offers a futuristic FPS featuring mechs and foot soldiers.

"Since we revealed the game in June we've been absolutely blown away by the reaction to Titanfall," said Vince Zampella, a Co-Creator of Call of Duty and Co-Founder of Respawn Entertainment. "The feedback we're getting from fans around the world is fueling our team as we head towards March and motivating us to deliver an experience that lives up to the hype."

In addition to the standard version of the game, there will be a collector's edition of Titanfall available. Included in the $249.99 version will be a collectible 18" hand-crafted Atlas titan statue with diorama and battery-powered LED lighting, a full-size art book featuring more than 190 pages of rare concept art, and an exclusive full-size schematic poster of the Atlas titan. That's a hefty price tag for a brand-new IP, but everything we've seen so far of Titanfall has us almost interested enough to make that kind of investment.
