Finally, they’re (almost) back. Rick and Morty are returning for the fourth season. And the first photos of the new episodes are here.

They come via Entertainment Weekly, which premiered two stills from the beloved animated series ahead of the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel this weekend. Here’s how they describe the shots:

Above is a shot of Rick on an alien planet, looking uncharacteristically blissed-out and touching golden plants a’ la Maximus in a field of wheat in Gladiator. And below is Rick in decidedly different circumstances, being confronted by menacing robot-croc-things (yes, they look a bit like Corcubot, one of The Vindicators, but also different?).

You can see more from the show at EW.com. The Rick and Morty Comic-Con panel is Friday, July 19 at 1PM local time at the Indigo Ballroom in the Hilton Bayfront. Expect a lot more details on the new episodes — 70 in all are due over the next couple years from creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon — at that time. (Roiland, Harmon, and voice actors Spencer Grammer, Sarah Chalke, and Chris Parnell are all expected to be in attendance on Friday.)
