Update: We’ve added four more clips from the film, which you can view below!

It’s a little strange that we haven’t seen a proper teaser or trailer for Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (formerly titled Scouts vs. Zombies), but Paramount has rectified that today with our first look at the upcoming horror comedy. In the fun little video above, we learn how to earn a wildlife badge — it involves dealing with a zombie cat.

With Paramount sitting out Comic-Con 2015, we won’t see anything from Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse in San Diego this week, which is probably why the studio dropped this teaser (and poster, below) on us overnight.

Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse features an excellent young cast, including Tye Sheridan, who will fight another kind of Apocalypse in next year’s X-Men: Apocalypse. Sheridan is joined by Logan Miller, Patrick Schwarzenegger (of the Schwarzenegger), Halston Sage, Joey Morgan, Sarah Dumont, Cloris Leachman and David Koechner — so it’s that kind of movie.

Here’s the synopsis:

Three scouts and lifelong friends join forces with one badass cocktail waitress to become the world’s most unlikely team of heroes. When their peaceful town is ravaged by a zombie invasion, they’ll fight for the badge of a lifetime and put their scouting skills to the test to save mankind from the undead.

Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse was directed by Christopher Landon, who previously helmed the fairly disappointing Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, but Scout’s Guide has the potential to be more entertaining. The film hits theaters on October 30, and as we reported yesterday, it will hit digital home media before it exits theaters.
