Seth Rogen and writer/producer Evan Goldberg have a long business relationship, which includes movies like 'Pineapple Express,' 'Superbad' and the more recent 'This is the End,' which the pair co-wrote and co-directed. So what's next for these two funnymen? They're gonna have a big ol' 'Sausage Party' for Sony.

No, seriously. 'Sausage Party' is an upcoming R-rated animated movie, directed by Conrad Vernon of 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and produced by Rogen, Goldberg, Vernon, Megan Ellison of AnnaPurna Pictures and Mr. Jonah Hill.

According a press release, it follows "one sausage’s quest to discover the truth about his existence. After falling out of a shopping cart, our hero sausage and his new friends embark on a perilous journey through the supermarket to get back to their aisles before the 4th of July sale." So it's 'Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs' meets 'Toy Story' ... with a touch of Adam Sandler's 'Eight Crazy Nights.'

Rogen, Goldberg, Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffirwhich all wrote the script, and, as Columbia Pictures President Doug Belgrad said, "has all the irreverent, insightful and risqué R-rated humor we have come to expect from [Rogen and Goldberg]."

'Sausage Party' is currently eyeing a 2015 release.
