More episodes for 'Episodes!' In what we can assume was either Showtime's most expensive attempt at a pun, or either the most redundant Google search, Showtime has officially issued a triple-decker for Matt LeBlanc by ordering another round of his hit meta comedy. But in all seriousness, how many episodes will the next round of 'Episodes' be? Will the former 'Friends' star receive a reduced order, or will he super-size it?

Rejoice, Matt LeBlanc, for the curse of 'Joey' is far in your rear-view mirror. Entertainment Weekly reports that Showtime has renewed meta-adaptation comedy 'Episodes' for an additional season of 9 episodes, as in previous outings. Production will begin next year on the first of the nine all-new episodes, to be filmed across both Los Angeles and London.

While the show's second season premiere fell a bit short of its initial 2011 debut with 486,000 viewers, Showtime claims that the Golden Globe-winning comedy ranges about 1.66 million weekly viewers. For those unfamiliar with the series, 'Episodes' stars former 'Friends' actor LeBlanc as a fictionalized version of himself, along with Stephen Mangan, Tamsin Greig, John Pankow and Mircea Monroe as they adapt a British comedy series for Hollywood, transforming an enlightened vision of a prep school into a down-and-out hockey team.

What say you? Do you think Showtime's 'Episodes' was ripe for more episodes, or should the network have laid this one to rest? Tell us what you thought of the latest season of 'Episodes' in the comments!
