There can be no denying that 'SNL' has mostly played its hand of tapping musical acts as hosts given recent turns from Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and last week's mediocre Justin Bieber hour, but will 'Django Unchained' star Christoph Waltz rescue us? The Quentin Tarantino favorite will take the 'Saturday Night Live' stage for the first time with musical guest the Alabama Shakes, but is the notably foreign star up to the task? Preview Christoph Waltz's 'SNL' hosting gig this Saturday with the latest previews inside!

'Django Unchained' may be out of the box office these days, but its Oscar-nominated star Christoph Waltz will certainly have people talking this weekend, picking up hosting duties of 'SNL' for the first time, with musical guest the Alabama Shakes. NBC has released the first official promos for the upcoming episode, which prove nothing if not adorable for Waltz's repeated pronunciation of "Alabama Shakes."

Will Waltz be able to keep up with the long-running sketch comedy series, or will seasoned vets like Fred Armisen need to pick up the slack? Can we expect at least one Tarantino-parodying sketch? Will Jamie Foxx make an appearance, having already hosted once this season?

Check out NBC's previews of Christoph Waltz hosting 'SNL' this Saturday below, and give us your predictions in the comments!
