With reports swirling that a certain leading lady might encounter some life-threatening scenarios in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' a new featurette released for the film doesn't bode well for her ... love life. As Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) attempts to balance his personal life with his Spider-Man duties, his best gal, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), won't be waiting around for him.

The Daily Mail debuted our latest look at 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' which puts the spotlight on the two star-crossed lovers, a nice break from all the villain talk that's been the bulk of the talk as of late. In 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' Gwen is more grown-up and is about to graduate school at the top of her class with an even brighter future ahead of her at Oxford. With her boyfriend constantly swamped with defending the city against increasingly dangerous threats and consumed with the mystery surrounding his parents, will she try to leave town?

'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' has a lot more going on than relationship drama in the forms of Jamie Foxx's Electro, Paul Giamatti's Rhino and Dane DeHaan's Green Goblin, but it's something to think about. Director Marc Webb, when posed the question as to whether Gwen would meet the same fate as her comic book self, said that though we might think we know what'll happen, we really don't.

'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' hits theaters on May 2.
