As much as we might like The CW, we tend not to pay attention to its more lady-skewing shows, with perhaps the exception of 'Arrow' (come on, put a shirt on). And with the excitement of the 2012 London Olympics thoroughly in our rear view, there isn't much to say about Ryan Lochte, Gabby Douglas, or the ever-unimpressed McKayla Maroney, but when The CW recruits all three for guest spots this fall? Now you've got our attention.

Unless we're forgetting anyone, it seems The CW was hellbent on casting the three major Olympic athletes on everyone's lips this past August for roles on their fall series. Earlier we learned that swimmer Ryan Lochte would make a brief appearance on the '90210' reboot, and even that gymnast Gabby Douglas would appear in an upcoming episode of 'The Vampire Diaries.' So, who does that leave?

According to E!, gymnast McKayla Maroney will appear in an upcoming episode of The CW's bubbly on-the-bubble drama 'Hart of Dixie,' playing Tonya, a friend of Rose's (McKaley Miller), who comes to her defense. Defense of what? Well, we have to actually watch the series to tell you. That being said, we can likely assume she'll make her trademark sneer at some point during the hour.

So, what do we think? Gimmick, or is The CW launching new careers for the Olympic athletes? Tell us if you'll tune in for any of the three in the comments!
