Do you enjoy Pacific Rim but find yourself thinking, “Hmm, this would be better if it were set in ancient China and they didn’t have any robots”? Then Matt Damon has the film for you. Over four years after it was initially announced, The Great Wall finally has a trailer, offering our first real look at the epic monster film from House of Flying Daggers director Zhang Yimou.

EW debuted the first trailer and photos from The Great Wall, which is the most expensive movie to ever be filmed entirely in China. You can sort of see why in the above trailer — creating the scope of China’s legendary wall alone must have cost a fortune; probably even more than it would have cost to actually build the 13,000-mile wall today.

The Great Wall “tells the story of an elite force making a valiant stand for humanity on the world’s most iconic structure.” And what, exactly, are they up against? Monsters, of course. World War Z author Max Z. Brooks helped develop the screenplay, which was written by Bourne franchise writer Tony Gilroy with Narcos scribes Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro.

So it’s not surprising that Narcos star Pedro Pascal also appears in The Great Wall, along with Willem Dafoe, Andy Lau, Tian Jing and Eddie Peng. EW also revealed some official stills from the upcoming film, which you can check out over on their page.

The Great Wall hits theaters on February 17, 2017.
