‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows’ Trailer: Keep Repeating, ‘It’s Only a Movie’
If nothing else, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows certainly looks wacky. The newest trailer doesn’t offer much in the way of “new,” but it is a solid reminder that Tyler Perry and Laura Linney are actually in this movie, and that is a thing we will never forget. On the more serious side of things (as if), Arrow’s Stephen Amell makes for a pretty cool Casey Jones. So there’s that.
This time relying on the Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep Till Brooklyn,” the latest trailer for TMNT: Out of the Shadows features a lot of previously released footage of Shredder, Bebop, Rocksteady and — for whatever reason — Laura Linney. There’s also a quick sneak peek at fan favorite baddie Krang, as well as a little new footage of the Turtles in action during what appears to be the film’s climax.
Directed by David Green (Earth to Echo), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (man, that title is like a dare, huh?) also features Megan Fox, Will Arnett and William Fichtner reprising their roles from the first film, along with Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Noel Fisher and Johnny Knoxville as the titular heroes. The film also stars Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, Brian Tee as Shredder, Gary Anthony Williams as Bebop and the WWE’s Sheamus as Rocksteady.
Out of the Shadows hits theaters on June 3.
