The Walking Dead Season 6 has made no secret of its likelihood to adapt a few of the Robert Kirkman comic’s biggest stories, including some of its most memorable characters yet. We may yet have a line on one, as exclusive set photos from Season 6 reveal Rick, Daryl, Abraham, and one (figuratively) dead ringer for Paul “Jesus” Monroe!

We got our hands on a few tense new photos from the set of The Walking Dead Season 6 in Georgia, as Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Glenn (Steven Yeun) and an unnamed actor filmed sequences with one gnarly-looking zombie. AMC isn’t commenting on the character (or actor) just yet, though our unnamed friend looks unmistakably to be that of comic character Paul “Jesus” Monroe. See for yourself!

You’re warned of some potential Season 6 (and comic) spoilers from here on out, but in the original books, “Jesus” emerged as a representative of the Hilltop community, another walled survivor group looking to trade with Alexandria. A skilled fighter all his own, Jesus is also notable as the character that spurred last year’s questions of the AMC series potentially revealing Daryl as gay.

Elsewhere of The Walking Dead Season 6, we know that Straight Outta Compton star Corey Hawkins has joined the series in the comic role of Alexandria runner Heath, alongside new additions Ethan Embry and Merrit Wever. AMC has also released clips and a few photos, amid previews of a fleshed-out comic backstory, while we’ve broken down the Season 6 trailer and previewed exactly how disgusting walkers will look, and all before digital FX.

Not only that, but Season 6 will also host installments of a half-hour special set on an airplane, a character of which will go on to a role in Fear The Walking Dead Season 2. Season 6 has also upped three Alexandria residents to series regular, though that’s certainly no guarantee of their survival.

We’ll see more of The Walking Dead Season 6 on the road to October, so check out the trailers again below, and stay tuned for the latest from cast and crew. Can you make out the actor behind our new lord and savior?
